Chris obtained a B.S. degree from Florida State University (1980) and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law (1983). After completing a clerkship for the chief federal judge in Tampa, Chris has continuously maintained an active law practice for more than twenty years, specializing in civil trial practice. He has received numerous awards for professional excellence and for integrity in the practice of law and is currently recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America, one of Florida Trend Magazine's Legal Elite, as a Florida Super Lawyer, and as a member of Leadership Florida. Chris' longstanding dedication to public service and the betterment of his community is reflected in his lengthy tenure with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and his service to numerous non-profit organizations. His current positions include serving as president of the Warrick Dunn Foundation, a non-profit foundation started by the all-pro NFL running back which provides first-time home ownership to deserving single parent families in three states in the southeastern United States.
